Kobo eReader Touch Edition

Kobo's not the first name you'd think of when naming ebook reader manufacturers, nor is it the second. Those honors, I'd wager, go to Amazon and Barnes & Noble, respectively (though Barnes & Noble's new Nook Touch Reader ($139, 4.5 stars) might flip that...Read more

The Kobo Touch is a very good, and highly commended tablet with a great touchscreen, and is more than capable of acting as an alternative to the Amazon Kindle. That said , we'd still prefer an Amazon Kindle....Read more

If you're going to carry an eReader on your person it should be built for doing so. Thankfully the Kobo Touch is. Weighing just 186 grams it's incredibly lightweight, and very robust. You can bet the Kobo Touch will be able to take a knock or two.

The Kobo Touch is a terrific eReader, but in terms of features, we're still talking the basics. In this respect, the Amazon Kindle and Amazon Kindle Touch are still the more desirable eReaders. Some eBooks are also more costly on Kobo eBooks than they are
